Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Assist customers with selecting frames and lenses based on their prescription, needs, style, and budget
• Take accurate optical measurements and assist with eyewear fitting
• Educate customers about lens options, coatings, progressive lenses, transition lenses, and other optical products
• Adjust, fit, and perform minor repairs on eyeglasses
• Process eyewear orders and ensure accuracy before dispensing
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the eyewear purchasing process
• Maintain organized and attractive frame displays
• Assist with insurance/direct-billing processes when required
• Support the day-to-day operations of the optical store
Qualifications
• Previous optical/dispensing experience preferred
• Licensed Optician or opticianry background is an asset
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of frames, lenses, measurements, fitting, and adjustments
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• Reliable, professional, organized, and detail-oriented
• Sales experience in an optical or retail environment is an asset
